Privacy Policy

Effective October 16, 2026

The short version
  • Agent Fishtank runs entirely on your Mac. We don't run servers, and we never receive your data.
  • Google Calendar access is read-only and used only to show your current and next meeting on your lock screen.
  • No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and we never sell or share your data.

What Agent Fishtank is

Agent Fishtank ("the app", "we") is a macOS screensaver and settings app that shows the status of AI coding agents, such as Claude Code, while your Mac is locked. It also shows a custom message you choose and, if you connect a calendar, your current and next meeting.

Information the app uses

All of the following is stored only on your Mac, in your user folder, and is used only to draw your lock screen:

Google user data

If you choose Sign in with Google, the app asks for one permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly (view your calendars). With it, the app reads:

How it's used: only to show "In a meeting until…" and your next meeting on your own lock screen and in the settings app. Event details are kept in memory and refreshed every few minutes; they aren't written to disk.

Sharing: Google user data never leaves your Mac. It is not sent to us or to any third party, not used for advertising, not sold, and not used to train AI or machine-learning models. The app never creates, changes or deletes anything in your Google account.

Limited Use: Agent Fishtank's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access: click Sign out in the app's Calendar settings. This deletes the stored tokens from your Mac and revokes them with Google. You can also remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Network connections

The app doesn't send anything to us. It connects only to:

The status display runs on a local server that only accepts connections from your own Mac.

Deleting your data

Sign out of Google and remove calendar links in the app's settings. Uninstalling the app removes its background service and screensaver; to remove everything it stored, also delete the app's data folder in your user folder (~/.claude/lockscreen in the current beta).

Children

The app is a developer tool and isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. If a change affects how Google user data is used, we'll describe it in the app's release notes before it takes effect.
